About Us
The Berwyn Heights Boys and Girls Club (BHBGC) operates in the spirit of the national Boys and Girls Club movement by seeking to create a healthy and constructive environment for the youth in our community. The club is a non-profit 501 – C3 incorporated organization that is run entirely by volunteers so that all our time, energy, and moneys go directly into serving community kids. Club activities focus on using sports to assist parents and guardians in building constructive qualities in town youth. We supplement athletic activities with non-sporting events as well toward this goal.
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Berwyn Heights Boys & Girls Club is to promote the wellness and foster community responsibility in our town youth, and offer healthy supervised leisure time activities. These activities emphasize the principles of good sportsmanship, law observance, good citizenship, discipline, and cooperation.
Governance Structure
The BHBGC has two principal bodies which comprise its organizational structure, the executive board and the athletic board. The purpose of the executive board is to guide the administrative functioning of the club, whereas the purpose of the athletic board is to direct the respective sports programs. In addition to these, there are several committees whose duties are to fulfill various tasks important to the regular operation of the club.
